Free "shared" SSL (Secure Socket Layer)

Votes: 1

All our hosting plans include the SSL protocol that allows you to send data in a secure way between your site and your visitors browser.

The protocol utilises encryption and authentication to provide security to online communications.  This allows client / server applications to communicate without incurring the risk of eavesdropping or interception by third parties, which is very important when conducting payment transactions with your credit card online.

We have a free "shared" SSL (Secure Socket Layer) service that you can use to secure communications, or alternatively you can add a dedicated IP address to your site and assign a dedicated SSL certificate that matches your domain name . As result your site would be available both as http ://www.domainname.com  and as https://www.domainname.com.

Purchasing an SSL Certificates

It is possible to purchase SSL certificates from us and we offer excelent value SSL certificates of the highest quality.

The first stage in obtaining an SSL certificate is to create a CSR (Certificate Signing Request).  This can be created in the control panel on Linux or Via a support ticket when used on Windows and will be needed when you purchase configure your SSL purchase.
