Within the Cpanel disk usage page, your will see an "Other Usage" listing and you may be wondering what this is.

Other Usage is typically files stored outside your home folder and its subfolders but associated with your account. These can for example be cache files like those generated if your site is using Eaccelerator or temporary files.

"Other usage" also contains files which cannot be included in the quote elsewhere for whatever reason, this includes the .trash folders of your mail accounts which may become quite large if you are deleting a lot of mail via webmail but not emptying your trash to purge the deleted mail.

If you are seeing a large "Other usage" folder then the first thing to do is check and empty your trash folders, you should then wait for 24hrs for the quota to update..
