Accessing MSSQL remotely

Remote access to any of our database servers is provided solely for periodic maintenance, backups or reporting, permanent or semi-permanent connections are not allowed.

Microsoft SQL server can be accessed using remote administration tools by connecting using the alternate port 21433.

In the host address simply put "mssql.domain.com, 21433" (replace mssql.domain.com with the sql server host name provided in your welcome letter)
